Childhood Immunizations

Ontario Public Health has emphasized that continuing to give childhood immunizations is essential, in their opinion, and I totally agree.

This is especially critical for the first set of immunizations at 2, 4, and 6 months of age. We have a little “wiggle room” for the immunizations at 12, 15, and 18 months.

I have already conducted some visits to complete these very important immunizations.

The procedure will be as follows:

Only one parent will bring the child into the office. No other family members will be allowed. If possible, the baby/toddler should be brought in without a car seat or carrier to avoid further risk of contamination.

We will ask you the standard COVID-19 screening questions first.

I will not be performing any height and weight checks. In fact, you can probably give me a rough idea of these weights from home measurements.

The less contact we have with equipment and spend the shortest time with each other, the better. Any other questions can be addressed with a virtual visit over the phone if there are other questions to be discussed.

We will assign you an appointment time, and when you arrive at the office, please stay in your vehicle until we call you.

We will call you to come in when we have no one else in the office.

Use the tip of a key to activate the automatic doors at the entrance, and also for the elevator buttons. Only you and your child should be in the elevator. The office door will be propped open. If you have your own mask, please put that on in the car.

Please use the hand sanitizer placed just inside our office front door.

I will be using a surgical mask we will provide the parent with a simple surgical mask if they don’t have their own.
